Our Liberty Is In Mortal Danger

Liberty is in Mortal Danger

Our liberty is in mortal danger. Why you ask? It's because of what is happening with what is known in the popular culture as “ObamaCare” (aka DemoCare and the Affordable Care Act). How could this be when the “leader of the free world” has repeatedly promised (he has made this promise more than forty times on national television) that if we like our insurance plans we can keep them and if we like our doctors we can keep them as well? He further promised that the average family would see a rate reduction of at least $2,500.

Millions of average working Americans, of retired Americans, and of small business owners have received cancellation notices from their insurance carriers. These cancellations have come because the ACA/DemoCare has required that all insurance plans carry minimum standards all of which carry a significant price tag.

Some of these standards have actually improved health insurance. The elimination of life-time medical caps, the elimination of insurance company discrimination based on pre-existing conditions, and allowing children to stay on their parents policies with full coverage until age twenty-seven (27) have all made insurance coverage better, and certainly more expensive.

President Barack H. Obama is certainly an intelligent man. His oratory skills are exceptional. No one has ever claimed he is a fool. As far back as 2003 way before he ran for the office of the President, he touted that he was a proponent of what is known as “Single Payer Health Insurance”. The Single Payer system is simply Orwellian Double Speak for total government control of our Health Care System. In other words its a euphemism for big government expansion (aka socialized medicine).

The recent botched roll-out of the now infamous HealthCare.Gov website was no accident. It was planned by both Sebelius and Obama to transition our healthcare system towards a single payer system (aka socialized medicine).

Do you think I am overreacting? Listen to the President in his own words:

I happen to be a proponent of a single payer universal health care program. [Applause.] I see no reason why the United States of America, the wealthiest country in the history of the world, spending 14 percent of its Gross National Product on health care cannot provide basic health insurance to everybody. And that's what Jim is talking about when he says everybody in, nobody out. A single payer health care plan, a universal health care plan. And that's what I'd like to see. But as all of you know, we may not get there immediately. Because first we have to take back the White House, we have to take back the Senate, and we have to take back the House.
Garth Kant in WND.com reported the objective of the new HealthCare law is to transition the United States to a socialized state. He writes,

The disastrous launch of Obamacare could be just the beginning of a much larger and far more devastating crisis.  A growing number of analysts worry the health-care program itself has so many flaws that its could lead to the meltdown of the entire American health-delivery system.  And that, some have speculated, could provide just the excuse for the administration to push something called the “single-payer” system of health care as the solution for a catastrophic crisis.

The objective of the “Hope and Change” President is transformation of the United States political and economic systems to a liberal-progressive-big-government society. That is liberal progressive double speak for socialism.

The assault on our health-care is but a first step and we allowed it to happen.
